The greatest privilege of strength
is not ruling over others but serving them.
In youth, we learn; in age, we understand.
Sinners do not care about sinlessness.
Holy persons, on the other hand, grieve over their sins,
and the descriptive words that are often applied to the sinfulness of others,
they apply to themselves alone.
They make immediate confession and amends for whatever dragged them
down from holy thoughts and godly living,
and they quickly return to holy thinking and godly living.
If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today,
95% of what we do would go on, and no one would know the difference.
If the Holy Spirit had been withdrawn from the New Testament church,
95% of what they did would stop, and everybody would know the difference.
