The Minor Prophets

Conclusion

God is patient. Our sin grieves Him deeply and harms people He cares about. But He gives second chances and many more chances.

God is inclined to forgive. Any who will turn to Him and put a stop to their selfish ways, God will welcome. Their bad history doesn’t matter. His arms and His home are open.

God’s patience is not infinite. If we prove unwilling, He will judge sin. Our evils do harm that spreads like an epidemic. If it isn’t stopped it will destroy all it touches. In the end, God will put a stop to sin.

God will establish His kingdom. He is determined to build a home that is satisfying, secure, and built on love. And He is determined to populate His home with as many as will enter.

The minor prophets may speak in language that feels foreign to us.

But their message is the familiar message readers of the Bible have long recognized.
